GETTING TO AMELIA ISLAND PLANTATION FROM
JACKSONVILLE AIRPORT (JAX)
Amelia
Island Plantation Shuttle Service
All shuttles depart
from JAX and from Amelia Island Plantation every hour, on the hour, based on reservations.
Flights arriving 10 minutes before the hour (example: 2:50 pm) will
be scheduled for pick-up on the next hour (example: 4:00 pm).
Approximate travel time to Amelia Island Plantation is 40 minutes.
RESERVATIONS MUST BE MADE 48 HOURS IN ADVANCE.

Rate: $84.00 per
guest, round trip (includes tax, airport fees and gratuity – no
tipping please) Can be charged to room or paid in cash to driver. No
charge for children under 12.
Go to www.aipfl.com,
click on “About Us,” then “Transportation and Directions,” scroll
to bottom, click on “Amelia Island Plantation Transportation
Department.” Make shuttle
reservations one of three ways:

Call this number also to report flight cancellations or changes.
Flight delays are monitored by the Transportation Dept.

Click on e-mail to send inquiries directly to the Transportation
Dept.
Upon arrival at JAX,
retrieve luggage, then check in with the Ground Transportation Booth
located on the sidewalk outside of the baggage claim area.
Tell the attendant your destination is Amelia Island Plantation.
You will be directed to the shuttle location point.
In case of flight delay, the Transportation Dept will monitor the
flight and adjust driver’s manifest accordingly, so proceed as above to
ground transportation booth.

taxis & shuttles
Cab fare from JAX to
Amelia Island Plantation is approximately $60 for 1 to 4 people, one way.
Express Shuttle: Each
van holds up to 10 people. Cost
is $52.50 total (one way) for up to 3 people, then $16 for each additional
person. Shuttles are
available without reservations at Ground Transportation – the first
person who requests the shuttle determines its destination; the van will
wait for 15 minutes for any others wanting to go to that same destination.

Rental
cars
Check rates through
individual rental companies. HERTZ
and ENTERPRISE both have rental locations on Amelia Island with pickup/return service for those who want to
rent a car for a day or two.
HERTZ
allows one-way rental from JAX
to Fernandina Beach on Amelia Island and Fernandina Beach to JAX, with
pickup/return service (1-hour notice required). CHECK HOURS OF
OPERATIONS FOR ALL LOCATIONS.
DIRECTIONS:
From airport,
Take I-95 NORTH to Exit 373 (Old 129, Route A1A). Go East 11.2 miles
to Amelia Island Parkway and turn right (just over the Thomas J. Shave [Intracoastal
Waterway] Bridge) at first stoplight.
Continue approximately 3 miles until the road forks and go to the
right on Buccaneer Trail. Continue on Buccaneer Trail for approximately
3.5 miles to the resort entrance (2nd traffic circle) on your
left.
