AMELIA ISLAND
PLANTATION IS A GATED COMMUNITY
What does this mean for INSIGHT Delegates?
All INSIGHT
events will take place inside the Plantation gates.
All delegates will have to check in at the Reception Center to get
a pass to enter the Plantation.
IF
YOU ARE STAYING AT THE PLANTATION:
Your shuttle/cab will wait while you register and then will take
you to your accommodations.
If you are driving: From the airport, Take I-95 NORTH to Exit 373 (Old 129, Route A1A). Go East 11.2
miles to Amelia Island Parkway and turn right (just over the Thomas J.
Shave [Intracoastal Waterway] Bridge) at first stoplight. Continue approximately 3 miles until the road forks and go to
the right on Buccaneer Trail. Continue on Buccaneer Trail for
approximately 3.5 miles to the Main Entrance (2nd traffic
circle) on your left. Turn
left just before the security gate to get to the Reception Center.
IF
YOU ARE STAYING OFF-PROPERTY:
You must still check in at
the Reception Center. If you
have pre-registered for INSIGHT, your name will appear on the Guest list
and you will receive a drive-on pass. If you are registering on site, the Reception Center will
contact MTS staff for clearance. PLEASE
PRE-REGISTER IF AT ALL POSSIBLE to avoid waiting for entry to the
Plantation.
The shops,
restaurants and golf courses inside the gates of the Plantation do not
accept cash or credit cards. All
purchases must be made with a Guest Amenity Card which places all
charges on your room bill. (This
is similar to the Sail & Sign cards on a cruise.)
If you are staying off-property and want to make purchases within
the Plantation, you can present a credit card at the Reception Center to
obtain a Guest Amenity Card.
ONLY
REGISTERED GUESTS AND INSIGHT REGISTRANTS WILL BE ALLOWED TO PASS THE
SECURITY GATE. ONLY
REGISTERED INSIGHT DELEGATES WILL BE ABLE TO GET ROOMS IN THE GROUP’S
BLOCK AND AT THE GROUP RATE.
If your name is on our rooming list but you are not a registered Insight
delegate, we will notify the hotel that you are not with our group.
Perhaps the most important service INSIGHT provides is to bring
high-level decision makers from around the world together in one place.
In fairness to the conference sponsors and to the companies who do
pay for every delegate in attendance, we require everyone who meets
with our
delegates—whether or not they attend any conference sessions or
receptions—to pay the registration fee.
